1 Newton Massachusetts United States http://www.GSofNV.org
Where standing: CORNER OF BEACON AND CENTRE STREET -- ACROSS FROM STARBUCKS
The good emerging: A "strategy" is prepared for women to rise-up and unite! They already have begun -- in Jerusalem, the Women's March, Me Too, and helped facilitate the students March for Our Lives. A plan is ready that gives women the structure of a political movement that has a "COMMON GOAL" and a "COMMON UNITING ELEMENT" -- "No War" as the goal (the worst form of violence) and the "Children," as the uniting element. WOMEN MUST TAKE THE WORLD STAGE -- AND KEEP IT -- to create change! It is not just for women, it is for everyone. But women must be the first to promote nonviolence. Women can balance the scales to counter male domination and patriarchy by setting an example for the whole world, now and in the future! Riane Eisler, in The Chalice and the Blade, said that we can change to a partnership society. First, there must be a movement where both women and men work together. Gandhi, King, and all the sages throughout time have taught us that nonviolence is the answer! It will not be easy, but we must do it "For the Children." Please see www.GSofNV.org. Peace and Love I am a man, a person, who believes in Riane Eilser's "Cultural Transformation Theory" and am dedicated to see it come to fruition.
Report 2018: I stood in Newton Centre. I was the only person there. I was proud to hold my sign -- WOMEN UNITE for PEACE. When women unite as the peacemakers in every country to promote nonviolence, they will change the world.

Over 200 people heard this beautiful prayer. I did stand in Prosser and read the prayer at 1pm on Sunday. Thanks for doing this each year.

7 Richardson Texas United States
Where standing: We will be standing at the Richardson City Hall Fountain on Araphaho. The statue is children dancing in a circle. Please join Michael and Mo and stand with us.
The good emerging: Neighbors helping each other. More of that seems to be happening.
Report 2018: My husband and I stood at the beautiful dancing children fountain near our city hall. The wind was blowing the water and making foam in the fountain. The sun was shining and it was not too hot. We rang our bells and read the statement and stood. The five minutes seemed to pass so quickly. While I was silently standing, I pictured others in the the Richardson Dallas area who were standing too and then on to all of Texas and then the US and then the world. Very satisfying. A plane flew by and I pictured someone standing and meditating on the plane, then someone swimming in the ocean meditating, then people in nursing homes and realized the huge potential for community participation. At the end we rang our bells and quietly went home.
8 Plymouth Michigan United States

10 Lopez Island Washington United States http://transitionlopezisland.org
Where standing: I will be standing with my husband and (hopefully) my youngest daughter in our beautiful, blossoming garden.
The good emerging: I see a new paradigm arising in which people value connection with the human and more-than-human world. Here on Lopez we have many groups working to bring support to others living on our island, to reclaim the values of eating locally and respecting the inherent rights of the natural world.
Report 2018: My husband, youngest daughter, and I stood in our garden, surrounded by the vegetables and fruit trees that we have planted and all the busy insects, chipmunks, birds, and native plants that live there as well. It was an unseasonably warm and sunny day. After a lovely breakfast on our deck, Aliza and I were weeding and Scott was rebuilding a table from our woodpile. We paused at 1:00 to read the declaration and express our gratitude for the love that we have for each other and the wider planet, ending with our family's traditional group hug.
11 amlwch wales United Kingdom

12 Vancouver B.C. Canada Saraswatians.

The good emerging: I think more people are becoming awake, through meditation and various practices. I personally have trained as a mindfulness teacher and am hoping to work with children pretty soon. It is an uphill effort to get more people involved in having a more humanitarian world. All awake people are called to do their bit.
Report 2018: There were seven women, part of a group called the Saraswatians. We stood in a sunny garden, in Kitsilano, an area of Vancouver, B.C. We are a group who have been together for over 20 years and we try and meet each month. I read the declaration and we all felt the urgency of working toward a better future for the next seven generation, in this time of terrible unrest in the world.
13 PORT TOWNSEND Washington United States http://unitypt.org

14 Graham North Carolina United States
Where standing: Standing in my yard beneath the arms of a Great White Ash with My Sister in OK and My Sister in CA with me in Spirit -- these words given to me -- I shall say to Our Mother Earth -- ''Great and Eternal Mystery of Life, Creator of All Things, I give thanks for the beauty You put in every single one of Your creations. I am grateful that You did not fail in making every stone, plant, creature, and human being a perfect and whole part of the Sacred Hoop. I am grateful that You have allowed me to see the strength and beauty of All My Relations. My humble request is that all of the Children of Earth will learn to see the same perfection in themselves. May none of Your human children doubt or question Your wisdom, grace, and sense of wholeness in giving all of Creation a right to be living extensions of Your perfect love.''
The good emerging: We are more alike than different - the more we talk to each other - the more we listen to each other -- Then - the Better Future we all yearn for shall become a reality ....
Report 2018: A friend in another State also said she would Stand with us ... so along with my dear friends in OK and CA .. there were at least 4 of us. Haven't heard back from other friends as yet. After standing in silence under the arms of my White Ash, I looked to the sky and on a branch .. I saw a bird who began to sing (posted under the photos link). I felt hope and peace .. Nature is with us all. Peggy
15 North Port Florida United States

The good emerging: My church has great programs for out neighborhood children and it warms my heart to see them as they are all involved in great programs.
Report 2018: I reported I would be standing in my front yard, under the Loquat tree. That was my plan and I stood there in a light rain. The rain started around noon and continued all afternoon but at times it was light enough for me to go our front and stand. Thank you and I trust many of us are concerned deeply about our beloved children. Thank you Rebecca Rouse

The good emerging: This whole idea was welcomed at a Mediate Your Life Choosing Peace Intensive in Berkeley this past weekend; with many participants from all over the country going to try to set up meet-ups even at this late date.
Report 2018: Not many of us made it to our site, but after the reading, those of us there heard about an international organization called RESULTS, and another called ONE; both use lobbying of government representatives and senators on specific letters and bills that will provide more of our tax money aiding women and children. Right now in the US, we are trying to get the REACH Act out of committee and to the Senate floor. REACH is about reaching every mother and child everywhere.
