It seems to me that where our Alliance project is going -- and the containing frame which holds and guides the entire project in all its aspects -- is towards the underlying absolute assumption that reality is an indivisible whole, that every "part" or "piece" of that whole is absolutely interconnected with every other part -- and that our co-creative task is to explore the consequences of this fundamental/foundational idea. Everything we might do here, according to this view, proceeds from this fundamental postulate.

One thing it means -- I would say -- and I invite you to think about -- is that all the so-called supposedly "separate" phases of the human mind -- categories, departments, sections, divisions -- absolutely everything -- like university departments, or "branches of science" -- are all in their fundamental reality facets or aspects of one absolutely indivisible unit.

RELIGION | SPIRITUALITY | WISDOM | PHILOSOPHY | ETHICS | HUMANISM | SCIENCE

ENVIRONMENT | ECONOMY | GOVERNANCE | POLITICS | COMMUNITY | WHOLENESS

All these things are intimately and absolutely interconnected. It's only a habit of thought -- a less-than-awakened habit of thought -- that keeps us seeing these things in separate categories.

So, for me -- this is what we mean by "integral".

All these things -- that we most often in our inside-the-box way of thinking see as distinct and separate -- are actually interconnected facets of the same thing.

We have to start seeing the world this way.

We have to make it possible to see the world this way.

Every other approach -- contains the seed of error -- and of injury -- of blind foolishness.

We need to master this.

This is no small task - lifting this idea into the world as the foundation for transformative action. It's huge, vastly complex, and absolutely inclusive. Hang on to your breath.

But this is what is pushing through.
