In this story QL (Quantum Logic) super computers are being used in a project to speak with frozen brains in cryogenic stasis. The ‘open ended’ logic of such intelligent machines is much the opposite of the ‘bubbles’ sought by noun dominated typical human brains. Gigantic verbs are what the Cosmos really Is.

Tribal humanity has generated tiny reality fields as a matter of course. True Galactic Citizens would be unable to be so confined; at least from Mr. Bear’s point of view.
