NAIN CONNECT 2009

Annual Conference June 25-28, 2009 Kansas City, Missouri at Unity Village

“EXPERIENCING THE SPIRIT IN EDUCATION: THE CHALLENGE OF RELIGIOUS PLURALISM”

Local Hosts: Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council and SpiritPath-Unity

Many interfaith organizations provide interfaith education to the general public, and many educational institu-tions have developed advanced multi-faith programs. NAINConnect ’09 will bring together representatives of these two environments to inform each other – to share stories, ideas and strategies for interfaith education so that we can all become more ef-fective.

The North American Interfaith Network (NAIN) is a non-profit association with membership of interfaith agencies and organizations throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico. Its purpose is to provide communication, understanding and mutual strength among interfaith organizations, agencies and offices of denominations, religious, and educa-tional institutions. NAIN SEEKS TO:

• OFFER NEW VISION for intensi-fied interfaith communication through programs of dialogue and social action. • DEVELOP INTERFAITH GUIDE-LINES for comprehensive dialo-gue and action across religious traditions. • PROVIDE A COLLECTIVE WIT-NESS of interfaith diversity through programs and events at regional and continental levels. • EXTEND THE GIFTS OF NAIN MEMBERS by increased devel-opment of NAINews, NAINet and NAINOnline. • FURTHER YOUNG ADULT LEA-DERSHIP DEVELOPMENT through interactive education, internships and programs.

SAVE THE DATE! Registration in-formation will be available shortly.

We welcome proposals for workshops on exemplary interfaith education pro-grams. To receive a Workshop Proposal Form, please contact Peter Laurence, conference co-chair, at Pe-terLL@concentric.net.
