Good morning from Santa Barbara --

Thanks for being here. I am just about ready to send out a first invitation into this emerging new "collaborative tagging" framework, that runs on a domain called Focalpoint.US.

This is a "high-dimensional" system, intended to support the interconnection of the full range of human diversity, in every sector of social organization. I don't know of anything else like it in the world, and for me, this project is the culmination of years of internet development supporting intercultural and intersector collaboration.

OUT OF MANY, ONE

By "high-dimensional", I mean that this approach, based on independent individual tagging, enables every participant in the network to uniquely identify and characterize themselves, in what amounts to "any degree of detail", on any issue or concern or aspect of life.

And this emerging new approach is simple. It's fast, intuitive, natural, and easy. And it DOES give us a way to embrace the incredible range of diversity we are experiencing today -- not only in a global context, but here in the USA as well.

We must find ways to act together, that are not derailed or shattered by cultural or ideological or philosophical differences. If we truly are ONE -- as our best and most authentic teachers are telling us -- we must weave that oneness into wholeness while fully recognizing the great differences among us.

UNITY-IN-DIVERSITY IS COMMUNITY

Focalpoint and this new collaborative tagging system will enable us to do this. Present yourself as you are, tell us what you care about and what you want to do, and we will hear you. Define your issues -- what do you want to do? What do you believe we all should do?

Cultural fragmentation is the greatest danger we face today. Ebola and ISIS are deadly. Economic inequity is killing millions of people every year. Human grassroots movements become hopelessly fragmented over "diversity". This is a problem we must solve.

You will be sent an email with an "instant sign-in link". Your account will be recognized, and you will be signed in to the tagging system.

I do expect to re-write this invitation in a less image-intense way, because a message formatted in this way too often ends up in spam or junk. It happened on my gmail account, so I know it will happen on yours.

Find a minute and click it. Get there. Get on the record.

DO IT

It's going to take some sustained push to open up the power of this new way of bringing us together. People are not going to immediately understand why this is important, or uniquely potent. But the system itself is fast and easy, and doesn't take a lot of thought once you get the hang of it. Just show up and punch a few buttons, and type a few quick tags into the input box.

I do expect to keep unfolding this design, and after a while, we'll have a ton of tags in the framework, that will come together as a big "resonant cloud". Maybe we disagree on details -- but we agree in the large. This will work.
